About weddings

If you're reading this I'm guessing you are probably looking for a wedding photographer?  Well you've come to the right place.  In 2017 I got married to my partner of 20 years.  Now I have been to a few weddings, as a photographer, and thought I knew a lot about weddings but to actually get married was a whole other experience.  It was truly the most magical day ever and one I will never forget.  You may ask who on earth takes the photos at a photographers wedding, well we were lucky enough to have an amazing photographer who fitted in to our day as seamlessly as any of other guests and who was with me from the start of the day until the very end (almost).  I knew her before but now we are really good friends.  So how did I choose my photographer and how should you choose yours?  Well firstly I'd say find someone who's style of work you like, my style is very candid and natural, less posed more documentary.  I like to shoot the day as it actually happens.  Next you need to know that you can spend the whole day with that person, the best way to decide this would be to meet up or chat on the phone.  I am more than happy to do this as many times as is necessary, it is important that you as the client are a right fit for me too, we will be spending a lot of time together so definitely want it to feel right.  I love people and find I can easily mingle and fit in amongst any crowd.  Lastly, I'd say be sure your photographer does what they do because they love it not simply just because it's their job!   Photography to me is my passion, and I absolutely LOVE it!  And since getting married and being a bride I now feel I have so much more to offer because I know EXACTLY what a bride wants.  I have been reliving my day with my photos over and over and it is priceless.  I now cant wait for wedding season to begin so that I can do this for my beautiful brides.  Beautiful timeless photos of themselves and their loved ones on their one special day for them to cherish forever.
